Interview with GC and Soul Mafia
This past week Jasmine did a phone interview with GC and Soul Mafia. They have a fresh sound and are making a name for themselves. GC came on the show to promote their song “Fly Away” from their album RedLine. So show them some love by listening to the interview below and visiting their website SoulMafia.net. GC & Soul Mafia’s album RedLine is available on the iTunes Music Store.
GC and Soul Mafia Bio: Hailing from Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, G.C. and Soul Mafia offer a vision of music looking towards the future, drawing from the past, but firmly entrenched in the present. Their sound reflects influences as varied as Coltrane to Jay-Z, Coldplay to Prince, while ultimately landing within the graffiti tagged walls of hip-hop. The result is a Molotov cocktail of adept wordplay and searing saxophone riffs; hard beats and lush orchestration; technology and soul.

That’s Hot!! Thank you for taking the time and supporting the work!

Soul Mafia is totally unique! They have a bit of an old school feel but still keeps it fresh and up to date. Check out their amazing concert that they performed at the Knitting Factory on http://www.woozyfly.com/soulmafia
